POMEGRANATE V oil painting

$7,000.00

PAINTING DETAILS:

This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting of the inside of a pomegranate. It is an oil painting on professional-grade deep cradled painting panel and measures 66.25″ long by 60″ tall and 1 5/8″ deep. I signed it on the back and painted the sides of the painting black. The piece is ready to hang but not framed. Depending on your computer, colors may vary slightly from photographs.

The artist will contact the buyer regarding delivery due to the painting size.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK:

My sticky sweet oil paintings transform glistening fruit into its own vibrant world. Capturing juicy pulp at the peak of ripeness highlights the beauty and vibrancy of life. My paintings are intimate, surprising, enigmatic, and bold as hell. Read more about my artwork here.

The pomegranate has been an incredibly significant and overwhelmingly positive symbol for thousands of years. Both culturally and art historically, this special fruit represents things like beauty, abundance, and fertility in Jewish and Muslim beliefs, life and regeneration to Christians and Greeks, prosperity in Buddhism, strength and eternal life to Persians, and so much more! Around the Mediterranean and Middle East, pomegranate art has been a popular gift for major life events including weddings, housewarmings, and coming of age ceremonies since ancient times. Feng shui consultants often advise newlywed couples in China to display art with pomegranates to attract good luck and many healthy children. Pomegranate also symbolizes happiness in the family, as well as good luck for one’s descendants.
