I am honored and very excited to have been appointed to Board Member of the Norcross Public Arts Commission. The mission of NPAC is to cultivate a growing, creative arts community and to promote continuous growth and development of our neighboring cultural resources. I will be serving a two year term.
I am interested in serving on the Norcross Public Art Commission because I believe public art plays a vital role in shaping how a community feels, connects, and sees itself. Having spent much of my career creating large-scale public artworks across the Southeast, I have seen firsthand how thoughtful, well-supported public art can transform shared spaces into places of pride, curiosity, & belonging. I would value the opportunity to support a public art program that is inclusive, artist-centered, and responsive to the Norcross community.
I bring nearly 20 years of professional experience as a working artist in both gallery and public art contexts. I’ve completed large-scale public art projects for cities & organizations across the Southeastern US, giving me a strong understanding of the public art process. My BA in Studio Art & Art History, along with my experience collaborating with municipalities and arts administrators, allows me to evaluate projects thoughtfully while balancing artistic quality, feasibility, and public impact. As someone whose work is represented internationally and included in educational curricula, I value transparency, equity, and clear communication in public art programs—and I would work to uphold those values while serving the Norcross community.
